Terms of use
Use OwnMynd as a personal instrument.

The service
OwnMynd lets you set a writing baseline from your own work and score new pieces against that baseline. CVI 100 means your usual self for that kind of writing. It is not a grade, not an intelligence score, not an AI detector, and not a medical or diagnostic product.
The website is live today. The Chrome extension is an optional way to score writing you choose in other tabs. A Chrome Web Store listing may lag the website. Sideload builds are for development.
Who may use it
You must be at least 13. You must use an email you control. You agree to the Privacy policy when you create an account.
Your content
You keep the rights to writing you submit. You grant us a limited right to process it so we can compute metrics and then discard the text. Do not submit other people’s private writing without permission. Do not try to break the service or scrape other users.
Acceptable use
- Do not use OwnMynd to police, grade, or surveil other people.
- Do not treat CVI as a hiring, admissions, or clinical decision.
- Do not upload malware or attempt to access another account.
Chrome extension
The extension is optional. You can uninstall it at any time. It scores text you highlight, paste, or (on ordinary pages) choose as visible page text. It does not run a background scrape of your browsing. Connect it in Settings after you install it.
Early access
Features change. Servers on a free tier may sleep and take a minute to wake. Numbers can jump on short samples. We may withhold “lasting pattern” language until you have enough eligible samples over enough days. Daily exercises are practice, assigned at random, not a tailored prescription.
The product is free for now. We will say so before any paid plan exists.
Disclaimer
The service is provided as-is. We are not liable for decisions you make from a CVI reading, for lost writing that lived only in your browser, or for Chrome Web Store review delays. Some places do not allow these limits; those limits apply only as far as the law allows.
